As a big fan of the How to Train Your Dragon movies, creating a book companion with Dreamworks definitely was a (excuse the pun) dream come true.
I was involved in all stages of development from art directing the book and cover, liaising with our licensor's publishing team, wireframing and UX for our augmented reality app, to pre-press artworking.
Our fun-filled guide to the world of Toothless and friends old and new was enough of a hit to result in several bestselling follow-up books and our innovative approach to complementing books with interactive content landed us BolognaRagazzi Digital Awards recognition in 2018.
