Carlton's new papercraft model series was created to fill a gap between traditional craft books and model sets. We launched with three models: a Beechcraft Staggerwing biplane, a T-Rex and a dragon.
We came up with a charming and savvy book-sized format that included a companion non-fiction booklet and a compact pocket with the model pieces. Inspired by vintage game and model packaging and aiming to appeal to nostalgic adults and younger geeks, we made the satisfying press-out piece flatlay a key feature of the packaging design.
