U-Create Design Make Sell was a cross-university challenge run jointly by UCL Advances and NACUE. The teams were tasked with designing and creating a product to be sold at markets accross London around Easter – we spent four weekends taking part in a range of workshops covering idea generation, understanding customers, collaboration, sales and pitching and, having gone through to the final, we had a chance to run a stand selling our range of fresh, flavoured popcorn at the Notting Hill and Truman's Brewery markets. I designed our visual identity hoping to evoke a retro film theatre feel. We used our brand colours and the hand-lettered mark on personalised team t-shirts, promotional posters, our social media channels and stamped directly onto packaging.
