Pitch Display

Pitch was a passion project which came to life after a late night beer-fuelled conversation with an aspiring-brewer friend. Initially intended as one-off custom lettering for the labels of a smokey pitch black porter, Pitch then took on a life of his own.

Pitch Display is a condensed high-contrast serif ideal for headlines (though I’m still holding out hope it’ll end up on a booze label one day).  Inspired by the grid-based letter construction of the 1930s it’s a harsher, geometric take on classical didone type.  The family currently has two fonts – a regular and italic version. Both contain 500+ glyphs including Greek and Cyrillic characters and all the diacritics you’ll ever need.
